Over the weekend, my computer had decided to lose the internet. On the bright side, that cuts me off from the bad stuff of the world, but on the down side, it cuts me off from posting anything directly from my computer.

How am I on the internet when my computer is disconnected? It's the magic of having a best friend who happens to have two laptops. I've been using her old one from time to time, but now I am dependent upon it for accessing the net. I am hoping that my computer will get connected this week, going to get my friend and her boyfriend to mess around with it. I've already tried different methods to get my net going...they failed. And since I'm not a computer guru, I need help.

I have a Plan B (or is it E?)! If my friend and/or her boyfriend fail in getting my computer back online, then I will have to get a thumbdrive (finally) to transfer my completed/sketch works over and post up. Sadly, I don't have enough to get me a new tower, let alone new components for my computer. My fiance said that I will be moving my computer around a good bit, which means that I need to get a new tower since my old one does not work so well in moving...either that, or get a laptop of my own.

In other news, I have paneled the first five pages of the short comic. I will be working on these pages this week, as according to my schedule. Scripting is complete, and the character sketches are complete. There are two main characters, plus three other characters but only one side character has more panel time. The other two characters only get one or two panels, at least...

As far as the short comic goes, I have decided to use the comic to debut my Needle and Thread short comic series. Needle and Thread was created years ago, when I was a sophomore in High School. The idea behind the series entwines the Grecian mythology of the Fates and how they work; weaving together these stories of people's lives and how they use needle, thread and scissors. The reason that the scissors are not included is because I am only telling a snippet of a life story of these different characters. Some of the characters in the series will be apart of the Mad Times series, but other stories are simply stories. Also, a title of Needle, Thread and Scissors doesn't ring as nicely in my ears as Needle and Thread.

Either way, I am having a great time working on this. Since I do not have a job or attend college, I have been allowed so much time to work on comics. It's great! But I totally do not recommend this to anyone, due to the fact that...well...money can be an issue when you need food, shelter and supplies. I'm getting away with this because of my circumstance of living at my best friend's house, and keeping the house clean and showing my work to the family earns my keep here. Not to mention, my fiance helps me with my bills (le gasp!) and keeping me fed.

So, lesson here, don't do as I do! It works for me, but most likely won't work for you.

PS Andrew Dickman was right, Astro Boy was a great movie if you treat it as a movie in it's own right. And when my comic starts being posted, I will be creating a new account on DA. Mainly because I will no longer be CEB, I will be CEL.
